4 Men in a Tub show filled with humour and great music DAN MACDONALD
The Cape Breton Post
Last Friday night I was at the Capri Cabaret in Sydney to catch this year’s
addition of 4 Men in a Tub. Once again, it was side-splittingly funny with a
heavy dose of excellent music tossed in for good measure. Oh, and those ugly
women were back as well.
The evening included the final episode of the Goin’ Fishing Show, Diggy &
Stewie’s Cable TV project. I wonder if Diggie will ever get that hook removed
from his anatomy. Mucky Martin has a new job as a fireman, something that
creates a spark in the heart of his long-suffering wife. She, in turn, performs
a miracle, raising the dead in time to celebrate the couple’s 33rd wedding
anniversary.
As I said, the music was excellent with new material (Shawn MacDonald’s
Charlotte’s Theme), old material (Duncan Well’s Tiny Boats) and great covers
(Brian Martin and George MacDonald combining on Sunny Side Of The Street).
Brian’s version of Dougie MacLean’s Caledonia was my personal favourite.
This is an excellent production guaranteed to keep you entertained. 4 Men in a
Tub will be at the Capri every Thursday to Saturday through the summer.
